Ampthill v Whitbread Charity Match

This game is between current and ex Ampthill Academy players and current and ex Samual Whitbread pupils.  All of who have had the pleasure of playing with Aaron.  

This month (April 2024) our Academy lock, friendly giant Aaron was diagnosed with high grade Glioma. 

This diagnosis has shocked us all and has turned Aaron and his family’s lives up side down. 

Aaron was a very healthy young man, and one hell of a talented rugby player. 

Aaron being diagnosed with cancer has shook the club as a whole and we are trying to help Aaron and his family raise some funds for Aaron to receive Dendric cell therapy in Germany. 

Unfortunately the NHS is unable to offer this as this therapy is not approved in the UK. In Germany this therapy was used for a number of years and proven to be successful. 

Aaron is a big character and his presence is greatly missed by all, both on and off the field, we can’t wait to have him back.
